In case you didn't know Mystery is moving. Beginning Sunday January 11th we will be gathering weekly in downtown Joplin. In preparation for the move the building needs to be finished so there is a clean and safe place for kids and a comfortable space to everyone to worship. We need your help.
If you are a covenant member of Mystery, or simply call it your church home and family, we need you to pitch in and help get everything ready. The NEXT TWO SATURDAYS we are having workdays all day. There is something for everyone to do from basic construction to clean up.
There are men and women working everyday, but its much to great a task for just a few people.
We are asking everyone to commit to blocking out a few evenings and the next two Saturdays to get everything ready for this exciting time.
Part of being the church is meeting the needs of the church and right now there is a tremendous need. Before anyone thinks this is simply pouring our energy into a building I would challenge you to see this as part of mission. God has clearly moved us to be a church in the city for the city by his grace and provision of both financial resources and an incredible facility, but God has left some work for us to do as we prepare. This is a chance to grow and not only as place but as a people in our minds and hearts as well. We are serving the city we are placed in by God. Whether we contribute money, time, talents or plain old sweat equity we are making a way for the gospel to spread into the city and into the hearts or the people in the city. So we are asking you to participate in the work hard and PRAY hard as well for this move. Come get dirty, make some new friends, learn some new skills and celebrate the opportunity we have to grow a church and grow in grace together as the church.
